HARTFORD -- BECU (formerly Boeing Employees Credit Union), the largest credit union in Washington State and one of the top five financial cooperatives in the United States, recently renewed its contract with Open Solutions Inc.®’s for an additional five years. BECU’s VP&CIO Butch Leonardson, attributes the credit union’s member experience approach to technology as an enabler to its success and growth. Since completing the largest technology conversion in credit union history in a single weekend in November 2002, BECU has doubled its asset size to $7.3 billion, expanded to more than 40 branches and has grown its membership to more than 500,000 in the past five years.

As part of its ongoing evaluation of its technology platform BECU recently completed a competitive evaluation of new and existing vendors to ensure the credit union’s current and future needs were most effectively being met.
